An online celebration of kids art!

This “Artful Kid” hails from New York and is 7 year old! All four images below are her work, inspired by various artists from Masterpiece Monthly – an online kids’ art lesson subscription.

Above: Pecan Picking, a work created by the 7 year old April 2022 Art Contest winner, was inspired by an artwork of the same name, by Clementine Hunter (1886 – 1988). What we loved about this piece was the attention to detail: the barrels that collect the pecans; the boy up in the tree seeming to reach high into the branches; the black outlines on the apron of the lady in yellow. We loved the human kindness and visual storytelling conveyed by this artwork—very in tune with the heart of Master Artist Clementine Hunter.
